In 2020 Nathan was tapped to collaborate with composer Brian Tyler on the creation of the ethereal indie guitar-driven score for the Disney biopic Clouds about late singer-songwriter Zach Sobiech, in addition to arranging and performing on some of Zach’s original music for the film. Nathan has since contributed music to blockbuster films including 2023’s smash hits The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Fast X, Scream V, Chip N’ Dale Rescue Rangers, as well as the theme and co-score to Apple+’s docuseries The Big Conn. Most recently in 2024, Nathan composed the score for Justin Lin’s upcoming biopic Last Days about the fate of John Allen Chau, which will premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. 

Self-taught guitarist and composer Nathan Alexander grew up in the wooded suburbs illuminated by New York City’s brilliant art scene, deeply influencing his music with the symbiosis of natural beauty and sleepless machines. Nathan is known for using intimate organic voices like guitars, strings, woodwinds and piano intertwined with abstracted natural sounds as an eclectic palette to craft thematically-driven film scores for stories about human conviction.
